Holding onto memories

The Class of 2026 is starting to decide where to shop for graduation outfits and decorations for parties, but 12 years ago, they were also looking for outfits and new backpacks to start their first year of Kindergarten.

The Class of 2026 is starting to get ready by putting on their caps and gowns and practicing walking across the stage to finally be handed their diploma after 4 long years of high school. It doesn’t set in until they walk out of the ceremony that all of the memories made at past schools and the past years are memories to truly look back on and reminisce about. Rachel Newport revisited her old schools to look back at past memories and reminisce on old school memories as she’s getting ready to walk the stage.

High school can feel like a long journey, but the effort you put into your classes and the dedication you give to your goals ultimately pay off in unforgettable ways. As seen in these photos, Jackson Allen completed high school in the top 10 percent, joined NHS and earned NHS cords, and also served in the Student Council Executive Board.

School doesn’t just consist of high grades, but also consists of reaching for your goals and following your dreams. Kaleb Burt knew what he wanted to do and pursue that at Diamond Oaks, taking their course in Construction. Burt wanted to hold these memories by having pictures taken at his past schools and at the school that helped him pursue his goal.

Brooke Leach pursued a more athletic path in her earlier years of high school. These pictures were taken on the field to represent the time she spent on them and the memories she made. As the school year wraps up, it was a nice way to reminisce on earlier school years and what made her into who she is today.
