Gwendolyn Byrd, otherwise known as Gwen, is a junior and is joining her first year of Tartan. Byrd was born and raised in Cincinnati, Ohio, and has lived there her entire life.  She is a student striving to be a radiologic technician when she is older. While Byrd likes English and writing, her favorite teacher is Ms. Lewis. She plays varsity lacrosse and ran cross-country for four years.

Byrd’s love for baking has inspired her to join the baking club that is held at school. Additionally, her favorite restaurant is Olive Garden, and she loves to order the chicken alfredo. Byrd refers to herself as both an extrovert and an introvert, and since freshman year, she has claimed that if anything has changed, it is her level of outgoingness. Byrd is looking forward to writing articles so that she can put her creative writing skills on paper for many to see.
