Gavyn Hanshew is currently in 12th grade and a first-year writer for The Tartan. Hanshew is on the OHHS wrestling team; his hard work and commitment to the sport allowed him to place at sectionals and earn him the rank of #5 in the GMC. He was also nominated as a Steve Shuck 2025 GMC athlete. In his free time, he enjoys motocross, fishing, kayaking, and being outdoors. He also loves to give back to the community by volunteering at places like the Delhi Skirt Game and St. Dominic’s Festival. Hanshew is an only child and feels that his mother is his biggest inspiration and the most influential person in his life. After high school, he plans to go to The Ohio State University and major in nursing, as he finds joy in helping others. Hanshew hopes to use The Tartan to inform the school community on important news.
