Evan Fugett, Writer
Evan Fugett is a senior (12th grade) at Oak Hills High School. Fugett takes on becoming a new writer on the Tartan this year, while also continuing to make his mark on the varsity soccer team. Both on the field and off, Fugett proves himself to be a team player, describing how he loves the perennial bond he has made with his teammates that has quickly turned into friendships over his high school career. When he isn’t on the soccer field or taking the time to relax and recover, Fugett enjoys cooking, watching new movies, and spending time with his family. Specifically, Fugett has two older sisters whom he looks up to greatly, having watched them go through high school and the college process already. When looking beyond high school, Fugett plans to attend college as an accounting or business major at the University of Cincinnati. Later in life, he would also like to travel to Hawaii and Alaska or, if able, donate to animal shelters to help rescue dogs in need. Currently, Fugett continues to enjoy his final year of high school through connecting with his friends and teachers, just as he did in his favorite teacher, Mrs. Kristmen’s, class freshman year. He also plans on continuing to make memories with his teammates, family, and a new group of Tartan writers this year. In summary, Fugett urges the importance of living in the moment during high school, stating, “to enjoy it, because it does go by fast.”
