Elyse Kinzie is a junior here at OHHS, but this is her first year on The Tartan. Kinzie is very close to her family, in which she has two younger brothers and one younger sister. She is also very close to her grandpa, who has been an influential factor in her life, as he has been successful in the medical field. She has also been encouraged by her eighth grade science teacher, who has been an influential person in her life. Before high school Kinzie attended Saint Ignatius of Loyola School and Bridgetown Middle School, where she received the Athlete of Year Award and the All American Award. After graduating, Kinzie intends on pursuing a Psychology career by acquiring her PhD in the major. Outside of the classroom, Kinzie partakes in cross country and the swim team. She also volunteers for numerous opportunities through the LPGA. Some of Kinzie’s hobbies include cosmetology and spending time with friends. Kinzie’s motto in life is “lock in”, a mindset that may lend itself useful in The Tartan.
