Benjamin Klaserner is currently a junior at Oak Hills High School. This is his first year as a writer for The Tartan, and he is very excited to join the team! Klaserner was born and raised in Cincinnati, Ohio, and has been influenced by his mother from a very young age. He’s very involved with the school, being a crucial member of the track and cross country team. On top of these two sports, Klaserner also participates in numerous AP and honors classes, carrying a high GPA and receiving an Academic O award his sophomore year. Despite his fear of heights, he hopes to become a Firefighter after graduation. Klaserner and his family took the role of hosting YoungLife groups at his house on Mondays, providing a space for students to worship together. He likes to play the guitar in his free time, and one day he hopes to explore Yellowstone National Park. When asked how he overcomes tough obstacles, Klaserner responds with the wise words of Lightning McQueen, “I just never thought I couldn’t do it.”
