Alexandria Hammonds

Alexandria Hammonds, Writer

Alexandria Hammonds, a junior at Oak Hills High School, is a first-year writer in the Tartan. She attends Diamond Oaks for half of her school day, with the hope of becoming a chef. Born and raised on the West Side of Cincinnati, Hammonds is a proud honors and AP student with plans to attend the University of Cincinnati, where she will major in business to pursue her dream of one day owning a fine dining restaurant. Hammonds is an extrovert and is involved in various clubs, including the student council, Young Life, and TUC. TUC is an organization that consists of local teenagers working to improve the world and the quality of life for those less fortunate. She says services like these bring her happiness and fulfillment. She is a believer in Jesus and is passionate about her faith; she believes God has made her a better person.  Hammonds feels her Young Life teacher, Maggie, is her biggest inspiration. Hammonds is outgoing and charismatic, and prefers to spend quality time with her friends, whether it be in Bible studies, late-night drives, or shopping. Alexandria hopes the Tartan will improve the quality of her writing and give her a chance to be more involved in school activities.
