Addison Childs, Writer
Addison Childs is a junior at Oak Hills High School who is looking forward to her first year working on the Tartan. She was drawn to the prospect of taking Honors Tartan because she found out that her Seminar teacher, (and former dance coach) Mrs. Vaive was going to be leading the class. Childs has had a very illustrious school career so far, admitting to secretly enjoying school, receiving the Academic O for her freshman year (another one for her sophomore year very likely) and enrolling in multiple AP and CCP classes. A “jack-of-all-trades” as shared by her long-time friend Clayton Wiegele, she’s also a very proficient dancer here at Oak Hills, competing with our state-caliber team.
Childs is a very self-driven person, stating that the biggest lesson she has learned is to not follow in others footsteps. She shared that she is inspired by her mother who taught her to never give up. She plans to attend the University of Cincinnati to study pre-med while also competing with their dance team. From there, Childs wants to use that degree to become an obstetrician (delivering babies) or a physical therapist. It seems pretty clear that Addison is a perfect fit for the Tartan paper.
